1. Purpose
Wing Chun Kuen Academy is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information entrusted to us.
This Security Policy explains the measures we use to help protect student accounts, personal information and academy learning resources.
2. Security Principles
The platform has been designed around the following principles:
- Secure by default
- Least privilege access
- Server-side authorisation
- Protection of student privacy
- Protection of academy intellectual property
- Continuous improvement
3. Authentication
Every student has an individual account.
Access to personal information requires successful authentication.
Students are responsible for:
- Keeping their password secure.
- Not sharing their login credentials.
- Informing the academy immediately if they believe their account has been compromised.
4. Access Control
Access to information is controlled using server-side permission checks.
Students can only access:
- Their own profile
- Their own attendance records
- Their own progress
- Their own Study Notes
- Their authorised syllabus material
- Their own bookings
Changing a URL or attempting to access another resource will not bypass these security controls.
5. Protection of Learning Content
Digital learning resources are protected using role-based access controls.
Learning resources include:
- Study Notes
- Digital syllabus
- Training resources
- Videos
- Progress records
Learning material is released according to each student's authorised syllabus level.
Instructor-only and Master Private content is never made available to student accounts.
6. Knowledge Vault Security
The academy's teaching system is managed through a secure Knowledge Vault.
Knowledge is classified into four visibility levels:
- Public
- Student
- Instructor Only
- Master Private
The application verifies a user's permissions before delivering any knowledge content.
Students receive only the student-approved version of each knowledge item.
Instructor and Master Private content remain protected and are never delivered to student accounts.
7. Artificial Intelligence
The academy's future AI-assisted learning features have been designed with privacy and intellectual property protection in mind.
The platform does not provide unrestricted AI access to the Knowledge Vault.
Where AI-assisted learning is available:
- AI receives only the minimum authorised information required for the student's request.
- Instructor-only material is excluded.
- Master Private material is excluded.
- AI access is disabled by default unless explicitly enabled by the academy.
- AI is intended to support learning and does not replace practical instruction from qualified instructors.
8. Personal Information Security
Student information is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections.
Access to personal information is restricted to authorised academy personnel with a legitimate operational requirement.
Students cannot access another student's personal information.
9. Payment Security
Where online payments are available, payment processing is handled by trusted third-party payment providers.
Wing Chun Kuen Academy does not store full payment card details.
10. Platform Maintenance
The academy continually improves the platform through:
- Software updates
- Bug fixes
- Security improvements
- Performance improvements
- Ongoing maintenance
Where practical, security improvements are applied promptly.
11. Reporting Security Concerns
If you believe you have discovered:
- A security vulnerability
- Unauthorised account access
- Suspicious activity
- A software security issue

12. Intellectual Property Protection
The academy's teaching methods, curriculum, Study Notes, digital learning resources and Knowledge Vault remain the intellectual property of Wing Chun Kuen Academy.
Access to these resources does not grant permission to:
- Copy
- Redistribute
- Publish
- Commercially exploit
- Share with unauthorised persons
without prior written permission from Wing Chun Kuen Academy.
13. Policy Updates
This Security Policy may be updated from time to time as the platform evolves.
The latest version will always be available through the Wing Chun Kuen Academy website or application.
