1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern membership of Wing Chun Kuen Academy and the use of the Wing Chun Kuen Academy website, student portal and digital applications.

By becoming a member or using the academy's digital services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the academy's services or applications.

2. Membership

Membership is personal and may not be transferred to another individual.

Membership provides access to academy services appropriate to your membership type and training level.

The academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where these Terms are breached.

3. Student Accounts

Students are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

You agree to:

Keep your password secure.
Not share your account with another person.
Notify the academy immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Students remain responsible for all activity carried out using their account.

4. Fees and Payments

Membership fees must be paid in accordance with your agreed payment arrangement.

Failure to maintain payments may result in suspension of membership benefits, including access to digital learning resources.

The academy reserves the right to review membership fees periodically. Any changes will be communicated in advance.

5. Attendance

Students are responsible for attending booked classes on time.

Where classes require advance booking, failure to attend may affect future bookings.

The academy may record attendance for training history and progress tracking.

6. Training and Progress

Grades, syllabus progression and training recommendations remain entirely at the discretion of Wing Chun Kuen Academy instructors.

Completion of Study Notes or digital resources does not automatically qualify a student for grading or advancement.

Practical ability, attitude, consistency and instructor assessment remain the primary criteria for progression.

7. Digital Learning Resources

Members may receive access to digital learning resources including:

Study Notes
Digital syllabus
Videos
Training resources
Progress tracking

Access is determined by your authorised syllabus level and membership status.

Digital resources are provided to support practical training and are not intended to replace instruction from qualified academy instructors.

8. Intellectual Property

All academy teaching materials remain the intellectual property of Wing Chun Kuen Academy.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Study Notes
Digital syllabus
Videos
Images
Training methods
Curriculum
Knowledge Vault content
Written material
Logos and branding

Membership provides a personal licence to access authorised learning materials.

It does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

Students may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify or commercially exploit academy materials without prior written permission.

9. Acceptable Use

Students agree not to:

Share their account with others.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform.
Circumvent access restrictions.
Upload malicious software or harmful content.
Interfere with the operation of the platform.
Misuse academy communication systems.

The academy reserves the right to suspend accounts where misuse is identified.

10. Artificial Intelligence

Where AI-assisted learning features are provided:

AI responses are intended to support learning only.
AI guidance does not replace instruction from qualified academy instructors.
AI responses should be used alongside practical training.

The academy reserves the right to modify or remove AI-assisted features as the platform develops.

11. Availability of Services

The academy aims to provide reliable access to its digital services.

However, services may occasionally be unavailable due to:

Scheduled maintenance
Software updates
Technical faults
Third-party service interruptions

The academy cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wing Chun Kuen Academy shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of the academy's digital platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

13. Privacy

The collection and use of personal information is governed by the academy's Privacy Policy.

Students are encouraged to read the Privacy Policy alongside these Terms and Conditions.

14. Changes to These Terms

The academy may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

Where changes materially affect members, reasonable notice will be provided.

The latest version will always be available through the academy website or application.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
